Aldi to continue baby formula price freeze until summer 2026
Aldi has announced plans to extend its baby formula price freeze to the summer of 2026 to help families with the cost of essentials.
The discounter pledged to maintain the price of its Mamia First Infant Formula at £6.99, which it previously promised to maintain until the end of 2025.
The extension of the baby formula freeze allows customers to save around £5 in comparison to the average price of the formula in other places.
The announcement follows the UK Government’s publication of the child poverty strategy, which includes information on how the infant formula in the UK should meet the same nutritional standards.
Aldi backs the Government’s decision and plans to support the pledge by providing affordable and accessible baby formula for parents.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “At Aldi, we’ve always believed that people shouldn’t have to choose between great quality and low prices, which is why we welcome the government’s pledge to better educate parents about baby formula.”
“Aldi has always focused on keeping essential products as affordable as possible, including providing the lowest-priced baby formula of any UK supermarket. Our priority is, and will remain, supporting families with access to trusted, nutritious options they can rely on.”
This move is part of Aldi’s commitment to supporting new parents, launching the ‘Mamia New Parent Fund’ in March to give away vouchers to families.
