Brewdog has teamed up with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to become the official craft beer brand of Lord’s Cricket Ground.

The new four-year agreement is set to launch in January and will see the beer brand offering British craft beers, including low and no-alcohol offerings.

Brewdog aims to add to visitor’s matchday experience, with branded events such as pre-Test match breakfasts at its Paddington and Waterloo pub locations, and creating fan hubs around London.

The partnership is designed to align with MCC’s sustainability goals, tapping into Brewdog’s “Beer For Your Grandchildren” campaign, and ensuring that the pints served at Lord’s are part of the brand’s broader sustainability push.

It is understood the new partnership will replace the sports venue’s previous official beer supplier, Carlsberg Marston, which first became the sponsor in 2008.

Brewdog CEO James Arrow said: “This is one of the most monumental achievements we could ever hope for our business.

“With an ambition to make as many people as passionate about great beer as we are, this partnership with Lord’s enables us to do just that, taking BrewDog to a premium mainstream audience with a full range of beer styles to suit everyone.

“I couldn’t be prouder of the team that pulled this together and I look forward to a long and successful relationship with this incredibly iconic venue.”

The new partnership follows the brewer’s recent trading update where it revealed it had doubled its pre-tax losses from £30m in 2022 to £59.2m last year, however, sales in its grocery division inched up 2% from 2023 in the first half of 2024 as UK grocery volumes increased 10% year-on-year.
