Duncan Farms secures Scotland-wide listing with Waitrose
Aberdeenshire based farming business Duncan Farms has secured a Scotland-wide retail listing with Waitrose for its Duncan’s Eggs range.
The Duncan’s Eggs, which are free-range and organic, will be stocked at stores from Wednesday, 13 May, which marks the first local, Scottish eggs for Waitrose customers.
The move is part of the brand’s growth plans and the continued development of the Duncan’s Eggs brand.
Egg buyer at Waitrose, Marianne Robson, said: “We are delighted to be bringing Duncan Farms eggs to our Scottish stores.
“We know our customers are looking for a direct connection to where their food comes from – a true ‘farm-to-fork’ experience – and you don’t get much better than a family-run business with such deep roots in Aberdeenshire.”
Duncan Farms has increased free-range production by over 70 per cent and invested over £7m in expanding its packing centre to double grading capability.

The business has experienced a rising demand for its Scottish free-range eggs, which led to a significant investment in sustainable farming practices.
Duncan Farms aims to promote ethical farming practices by growing cereals for their hens’ feed and managing every stage of production before grading and packing the collected eggs.
This brand reflects the increasing consumer demand for traceability with an online egg tracker that allows each egg to be traced back to its farm of origin.
Owner of Duncan Farms, Rachael Duncan, said: “We are looking forward to bringing our Duncan’s Eggs to Waitrose’s Scottish customers.
“Waitrose has a fantastic reputation for stocking high quality produce, so we are proud to have our traceable, nutritious Scottish free-range and organic eggs listed.”
