Home Bargains has acquired variety discount chain Quality Save, with 21 stores in the north of England set to be part of its estate.
The takeover which took place on 26 January also saw Home Bargains operations director Paul Rowland taking over as a director of the chain.
Quality Save family directors Paul, Diane and Richard Rudkin have stepped down from their positions at the company.

Its current stores which include in Barnsley and Greater Manchester currently sell many of the same products as Home Bargains, with it having already been a supplier.
“We are pleased to confirm that TJ Morris acquired Quality Save with effect from 26 January 2023,” a Home Bargains spokesman told The Grocer.
“Our existing working relationship makes Quality Save a great fit for the TJ Morris Group and we’re excited that we are now able to bring these stores into Home Bargains, increasing our store numbers and simplifying how we work.
“Quality Save becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of TJM Limited, which trades as Home Bargains.”
