“The Aldi gift card is the perfect present for any Aldi fan, whether it goes towards their food shopping or that must-have item from our special buys aisle,” Aldi managing director Julie Ashfield said.

“We hope customers enjoy giving the gift of Aldi to their friends and family”

The news follows Iceland’s launch of its first-ever gift card programme in the UK, in partnership with Blackhawk Network.

Under the scheme, Iceland will be able to offer customers an in-store gift card mall featuring their own brand gift cards alongside a range of third party gift cards in all 1000 stores.
