Eight newly upgraded Aldi stores across the UK are set to welcome customers back in time for Christmas, following the discounter’s investment to make them an even better place to shop.

The stores in Cardiff, Dunston, Witham, Perth, London, Liskeard, Greenock and Bradford are scheduled to reopen between 5 November and 3 December.

The upgrades from part of Aldi’s £300m investment in its existing store estate and include store extensions, refreshed shopping areas and more energy-efficient technology.

Customers will also benefit from improvements to key areas of the stores, including the bakery, health and beauty, fresh food and produce sections.

Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming customers back to these newly upgraded stores in time for Christmas.

“Whether it’s creating more space, refreshing key shopping areas or introducing more energy-efficient technology, we’re continuing to invest in our stores to make them even better for the communities they serve.”
