Mondelēz has unveiled a new limited-edition hazelnut flavoured Cadbury Wispa Gold chocolate bar.
The 48g single bar, retailing at 69p, will be available to purchase from September.
According to the confectionary company, the Wispa brand is the third-largest within the Cadbury range, just behind Dairy Milk and Twirl.
The supplier said it hopes to drive sales with the help of the new limited-edition flavour, with Wispa Gold growing by 23.5 per cent in the last year.
Mondelēz International also revealed that the flavour hazelnut is the second biggest in chocolate and is currently growing at 12.8 per cent.
“Hazelnut ranked in the top tier of flavour combinations with consumers in relation to Wispa, so we are confident that this new bar will help retailers offer something new to confectionery shoppers to drive sales this year,” Mondelēz International brand manager Joshua Collier said.
Ahead of the official release, Mondelēz has launched its ‘A New Type of Gold’ campaign, which allows shoppers the chance to purchase a single #WispaGoldHF ‘share’ in the chocolate.
