Amazon and Morrisons expand partnership to add More Points loyalty scheme
Amazon is adding Morrisons More Points loyalty scheme to the supermarket’s page on its online store as the pair look to expand their partnership.
The change will see shoppers earn More points from purchases they make on Amazon.co.uk which they can claim back as Morrisons More Card Fivers to spend in-store or online at the grocer.
To mark the launch, five points will be available on every eligible Morrisons product, alongside 500 points for shoppers registering their loyalty account and spending £70 in a single order in the first two weeks after registration.
It forms part of a wider array of improved features to make shopping for groceries and everyday essentials on Amazon even easier, including the introduction of a ‘Grocery Day’, which means that shoppers can schedule a weekly delivery slot with a pre-filled basket.

The online giant has also added a delivery pre-reservation feature for customers to secure a delivery slot up to 60 minutes in advance.
Amazon director of grocery partnerships worldwide Russell Jones said: “We are committed to investing in ways for customers to get the best value for their weekly shop, and the integration of More Points to Morrisons on Amazon is a great new way for customers to be rewarded while getting their same-day grocery deliveries.
“Our partnership with Morrisons continues to go from strength to strength and the expansion to even more customers marks a significant milestone in our bid to build a best-in-class grocery shopping experience, where grocery shopping is simple, fast and affordable.”
Morrisons online director Charlotte Exell said: “As we continue to build on our important partnership with Amazon, we’re thrilled that customers can now earn More Card Points on their groceries as part of our Morrisons on Amazon service.
“The new launch is an important step in our mission to provide even more value and flexibility for our loyalty shoppers, making it easier than ever for customers to benefit from their More card wherever they shop.”
It comes as Amazon has launched an own-brand budget-friendly food line in the US, in its latest grocery drive.

For the life of me I never understood why Amazon never bought Morrison’s several years back as it was the ideal vehicle to scale up UK Grocery for them as a partner and wholesale supplier ????♂️
Perhaps CDR will rue their disastrous debt leveraged takeover and just exit before losing further money.
Even Amazon would be a better owner.
