The Compleat Food Group highlights progress on ESG report

UK food manufacturer The Compleat Food Group has published its ESG report, which highlights significant progress across the sustainability targets.

The manufacturer reported a 36 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions compared with the baseline year, which was supported by the expansion of renewable electricity across production sites.

Additionally, the Group had an ongoing investment in energy efficiency initiatives. The Compleat Food Group also significantly grew its Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) programme with environmental performance data available across its entire product portfolio, including over 4,000 products.

The research provides detailed insight into the climate, nature, water and nutritional impact of products, which enables the business to identify opportunities to better product performance.

In addition to the major milestone, the group has improved its approach to nature and water stewardship and developed a dedicated water stewardship roadmap and expanded its biodiversity monitoring.

The Compleat Food Group also pushed towards its charitable initiatives through its partnership with Felix; the business redistributed over 402k meals to community organisations.
