Dolmio’s has marked its 40th anniversary with a new campaign starring its iconic puppet family.
According to the brand this is its most ambitious campaign in over ten years, costing millions of pounds.
Devised by creative agency T&P, the marketing drive highlights that there is no correct way to make dinner. It aims to serve as a reminder that “mealtimes are what bring people together”.
Centred around its previous brand platform ‘When’s Your Dolmio Day’, the newest campaign introduces the firm’s famous puppets to a new generation, while reconnecting with the old one.

Chief growth officer at Mars Food & Nutrition, Matt Graham said: “This is a monumental milestone for Dolmio, and we haven’t held back. For our 40th anniversary, we wanted to reflect on what makes Dolmio memorable amongst our customers and consumers.

“A huge part of the brand’s history and distinctiveness lives on in the Dolmio puppets. That’s why it was the perfect time to bring back our beloved puppets in a new campaign that celebrates how mealtimes have changed over the last four decades, while driving conversation and visibility on shelf in a disruptive way.”

Alongside its hero spot, the campaign includes a partnership with author Giovanna Fletcher, out-of-home advertising, brand-led and influencer social content and consumer and trade PR.

As part of its out-of-home offering, Dolmio’s has unveiled a 3D steaming Bolognese billboard in Shepherd’s Bush, London.
