It will also be selling a portable BBQ for £29.99 across its UK stores.

Sales data predicts that the convenience retailer will sell more than 22m sausages, 7.5m burgers and 6.2m kebabs this summer.

To offer Brits a place to enjoy lunch or dinner outside this summer, Sainsbury’s is launching a ‘first of its kind’ free BBQ space in South Bank, London.

Open from 12pm to 8pm during National BBQ Week (1 to 3 June), guests will be provided with a hot Weber Spirit gas barbeque and will receive a free Sainsbury’s food hamper worth up to £50 on arrival.
