Innocent Drinks has launched a new range of stronger straws across its kids’ smoothies and juice ranges.
The change, which is currently rolling out across the brand’s products, will still include 100% recyclable paper straws, however these will now be 50% stronger and less likely to bend and break.
The force to pierce through the wedge is also 40% less, meaning the tip is less likely to become blunt.

Both changes look to make the drinks easier for kids to consume and come as part of Innocent Drinks’ continued product development to ensure it is responding to consumer needs.
“Following some feedback received from parents regarding the durability of our straws, we wanted to find a way to improve the product and by doing so we’ve made it even easier for kids to get one of their five a day through our drinks,” Innocent Drinks kids ranges brand manager, Charlotte Wright said.
This comes following the recent launch of its ‘Blueberry Whizz’ super smoothie, which aims to offer more nutritious and healthy options for children by incorporating crushed fruit and veg, added vitamin D, iron and no added sugar.
