Holland and Barrett named a ‘Superbrand’ in list of iconic UK consumer businesses

Holland & Barrett has been honoured with a Consumer ‘Superbrand’ status in the latest 2022/23 listings.

The health and wellness retailer was declared a Superbrand in the beauty, wellbeing and opticians category, and is the 3rd year in a row that Holland & Barrett has featured in the rankings.

Superbrand statuses are awarded annually, ranking the most trusted brands across many sectors and industries that have achieved the highest level of quality, reliability and distinction.

The UK Superbrands annual survey provides a valuable insight into how brands have evolved and been perceived since 1995.

The list provides an interesting insight into which companies have made an impression on their respective target audiences and are considered leading and instantly recognisable brands, or labels that consumers are willing to pay a premium for.

Some 1633 brands across 85 categories were assessed for quality, reliability, and distinction this year – the three factors that define a Superbrand.

The brands are voted on by a nationally representative sample of 2,533 adults. The results are ratified by the independent and voluntary Consumer Superbrands Council consisting of leading marketing experts.

“We’re delighted Holland & Barrett has again been recognised as a superbrand,” chief customer and digital officer at Superbrands UK, Mark Morris said.

He added: “Our aim is to be the partner or choice for over 100m people globally to achieve their health and wellness goals.

“It’s our trusted, recognised brand that means we can broaden our reach to help people find services, solutions, products and advice for health needs – helping them live longer, healthier lives.”

The news comes as Holland Barrett stocks a new CBD drinks brand, TRIP, as it has reports an 800% increase in sales throughout January across supermarket giants including Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Ocado.
