Iceland has partnered with Uber Eats to launch a rapid grocery delivery service to its customers across London.
Promising to deliver orders in as little as 20 minutes, the collaborations expansion will see the ‘Uber Eat Market’ using Uber’s technology along with the frozen food retailers infrastructure at its trialled stores in South Bank, Poplar and Walworth Road.
Featuring over 1,000 branded and non-branded items, Iceland’s offerings will be available via the rapid grocery delivery service’s app.
This comes following the partnerships previous expansion in August to over 890 Iceland stores which looked to deliver groceries in 30 minutes or more.
During the summer Big 4 grocer Asda and Co-op teamed up with Uber Eats to grow the rapid delivery platform.
As of June, Asda’s partnership stretched to 405 locations across the UK and Co-op said its collaboration with Uber Eats would be available in 1,000 of its stores by the end of this year.
This comes as earlier this month, Uber Eats launched a £250,000 fund as it looks to support Black-owned restaurants across the UK.
The Uber Eats Black Business funding will be spread across 25 small businesses, each receiving a £10,000 grant and special mentoring from one of the initiative’s partners, business support platform Enterprise Nation.
