Asda rolls out first nationwide loyalty scheme

Asda is rolling out its loyalty programme, Asda Rewards, to all 633 stores across the UK and online through its click and collect service, following a successful trial.

the Asda Rewards loyalty scheme has been in customer trials in different regions since October 2021 and since then, more than one million customers have signed up to the app.

When doing their usual grocery shop, Asda customers can earn points, ultimately building up a cashpot to spend in store or online.

So far, users have built up over £4 million in their cashpots.

The supermarket’s rewards scheme was initially trialled in its 16 stores across West Yorkshire and the West Midlands last year but will now be launched in all Asda UK stores.

Customers will see their cashpot build up in the app as they shop, and they can redeem their cash whenever they choose by creating a voucher in the app.

The cash each customer saves via the app can then be used for money off their next shop.

“We’re incredibly excited to be able to give all our customers access to Asda Rewards across the UK so they can start to earn rewards & build their cashpot,” said Asda senior director for loyalty, Mark Baxter.

“We know that times are tough for families right now, so it’s great to be able to reward them for simply shopping with us.”
