Tesco brand Wicked Kitchen launches dairy-free milk range

Tesco plant-based brand, Wicked Kitchen has announced the launch of its very first dairy-free milk range.

The four variants, available in Oat, Coconut, Soya and Almond will be stocked on the Big 4 grocer’s shelves across hundreds of stores from this week.

Each of the ‘barista blend’ plant-based milks have a retail selling price of £1.30 – £1.50 per 1L carton.

Containing potassium and vitamins B, B12 and D, the dairy-free milk range will be the newest of over 70 of the brand’s products available online and in-store at Tesco.

“These new Wicked ones are not only delicious and so good to drink icy cold, they all froth like nobody’s business and are great for cooking as well, which is what I’ve been looking for in a plant milk alternative,” Tesco director of plant-based innovation and Wicked Kitchen co-founder, Derek Sarno said.

“My hat goes off to our super-talented plant team that works tirelessly behind the scenes to bring these and all our animal-free offerings to market.”

This news comes as Tesco has ditched the wrapping on its own-brand juice cartons, water bottles and fizzy drinks in a bid to achieve its sustainability goal of saving 45 million pieces of plastic a year.
