Aldi and Deliveroo are set to team up to trial on-demand grocery delivery across the UK.

The service will be tested across the “right” stores starting from early October 2026, which includes Norwich, Ipswich, Tamworth, Letchworth Garden City and four stores in Kent. The two businesses plan to expand the service to further locations in early 2027.

This partnership will allow customers to shop through a wide range of Aldi products, including fresh produce, meat, seafood, dairy, bread and household essentials for delivery.

Rob Harris, VP merchant and chief revenue officer at Deliveroo, said: “We are excited to welcome Aldi to the Deliveroo platform through a brand new service, Shop & Deliver. Consumers in several locations across the country will soon be able to enjoy Aldi’s great value and selection delivered to their doorstep on demand.

“For riders, Shop & Deliver is entirely optional, offering an additional way to earn outside of busy mealtimes which may suit those who choose to ride alongside childcare or another form of work.”

This new offer will operate under a new brand service from Deliveroo called ‘Shop & Deliver’, where riders pick, pack and deliver directly to doorsteps, which allows staff to focus on store operations.

Giles Hurley, CEO at Aldi UK, said: “The DoorDash model has been incredibly popular with Aldi customers in Australia and the United States, and we know from our previous trials there is clear demand for more affordable groceries on a rapid delivery platform in the UK.

“By working with Deliveroo, in this unique and efficient way, we can give more people access to Aldi quality and value, however they choose to shop with us.”

This service is optional for riders and offers an additional way to earn according to the business.
