Tesco has announced it will be offering free kids meals across over 300 cafe’s this summer, with an aim to help parents who are struggling to afford food during the cost-of-living crisis.
The Big 4 grocer will be providing children with free meals worth up to £3.25 in conjunction with the purchase of a cafe menu item, which could range from a 60p piece of fruit to a £2 bakery item or £3.50 avocado and toast.
Only available to Clubcard holders, the offer is set to run over the school holiday period from 25 July to 26 August.

As well as breakfast and cold pick and mix deals available, hot meal deals with options such as fish fingers, veg mac ‘n’ cheese, pork sausages and baked chicken goujons will be included.
“Kids Eat Free is just one of the ways we’re helping our customers to spend less at Tesco,” Tesco chief customer officer, Alessandra Bellini said.
“We know that costs can add up over the school holidays, so offering free meals to children with any item purchased at our cafés for an adult, is one of the ways we are supporting parents during this time.”
This news comes as discounted supermarket cafe deals have come under scrutiny as experts claim many of the menu items are ‘ultra-processed’ and fall below the school food standard.
