Vegan street food brand Biff’s is set to launch its first plant-based range, which includes vegan chicken wings with a ‘bone’, into Waitrose stores on 6 April.
Biff’s will launch six new products as part of its Plant Shack range led by its hero product, Crispy Fried JackFruit Wingz, containing an innovative ‘vegan bone’, which uses a sugarcane spear to create a realistic limitation without compromising on its plant-based status.
It is the first vegan chicken wing with a ‘bone’ in the global vegan food sector.
Other SKUs include Cripsy Fried Jackfruit Burgers, Smoky Chilli Cheeze Waffle Fries, Banging Bhaji Loaded Fries and two plant-based sauces.
Biff’s highlights how 50% of its new vegan range is made with jackfruit, highlighting how “comfort food doesn’t have to include a slew of unrecognisable ingredients”
“After significant brand growth in delivery kitchens and food service through the pandemic, launching the Biff’s Plant Shack range in retail is an exciting next step in our mission to make more incredible-tasting plant-based food accessible to all.
“Our genuine street food heritage and innovative products, including the UK’s first proper vegan wing with a ‘bone’, means we’re uniquely positioned to bring a vegan street food range to shelf that’s bold, authentic and commercially proven.
“We’re thrilled to be working with Waitrose to bring this to life and give the opportunity for new and loyal Biff’s fans to cook their first Biff’s Plant Shack meals at home.”
