Cadbury unveils latest ice cream flavour

Cadbury has announced the latest addition to its Cadbury ice cream portfolio, Cadbury Darkmilk.

Launching this month, Darkmilk is the latest launch from Cadbury ice cream, which already includes household favourites including Dairy Milk, Flake and Buttons.

“At Cadbury ice cream, we wanted to introduce a product that caters specifically for more grown-up taste buds looking for a richer chocolate taste experience,”

Cadbury Darkmilk delivers the “perfect combination of rich and creamy flavours for moments of true indulgence”, said Cadbury UK head of marketing Brunhilde Van Antwerp.

“Our research found that 43% of consumption at family occasions are adults making them a consumer hit that can’t go amiss. Darkmilk is the ice cream that will hit the sweet spot without question.”

Cadbury has planned a full marketing campaign that will feature a new TV creative, PR and social media activity to support its launch.

The new ice cream flavour will be retailing in packs of four for £3 and sold in major retailers across the country.

The news comes after Cadbury shrunk the size of Dairy Milk sharing bars by 10% as a result of rising inflation.

Mondelez, the parent company of Cadbury’s, revealed it has reduced the size of its larger bars from 200g to 180g. However, the bars are still being typically sold at £2 despite the size reduction.
