C&C Group announces restructure after mixed H1 results
Drinks company C&C Group has posted mixed results for the six months to 31 August, with net revenue decreasing by 3 per cent to approximately £66.5m.
The company operates a wide portfolio of brands which includes Magners, Tennent’s and Bulmers, as well as a collection of beers and ciders.
However, the brand’s operating profit increased by 4 per cent to £36.3m, due to an operating margin improvement of 40 basis points to 5.5 per cent.
There was a 3 per cent growth in the branded segment due to favourable weather and the FIFA World Cup, targeted brand investment as well as innovation.
The business saw a 4 per cent fall in distribution, and the overall trading performance was in line with expectations.
During this period, C&C Group acquired Innis & Gunn, which has been successfully integrated into the group to strengthen the company’s premium portfolio.
Additionally, the integration of drinks company Matthew Clark and Bibendum was completed during the period. The business also grew its portfolio with the acquisition of Asahi UK’s wholesale department in October 2026.
