Aldi has announced the launch of its new summer barbeque range.
The discounter’s selection continues its “Taste of Tokyo” theme, featuring Japanese-inspired items in celebration of the Tokyo Olympics.
The range includes Yakatori Chicken Kebabs at £2.69 for 320g and Shirayuki Japanese Sake at £4.99 for 30cl.

Other items on offer include the West Country Cheddar & Chili Burger at £2.99 for a pack of four, the Peri Peri Half Chicken at £2.99 and ten Specially Selected Pork Sausages at £2.99 for 667g.
The retailer is also promoting vegan meals on its Instagram page, posting a BBQ Corn Ribs recipe for customers to make at home.
The release comes soon after Aldi announced its trial run of paper-based sandwich packaging in an effort to remove 23.8 million pieces of unrecyclable plastic from its products per year.
The store is launching the project in collaboration with its supplier Greencore.
“We are looking at every product we sell to see if there are ways we can remove plastic packaging or replace it with recyclable alternatives,” Aldi UK plastics and packaging director Richard Gorman said.
The brand has also committed to removing all single-use plastic from its own-brand tea bags by the end of the year.
