Greggs opens Bitesize shop in London
Food-to-go retailer Greggs has opened its fourth ‘Bitesize Greggs’ shop, which is located in London Bridge Station.
The smaller shop format aims to offer the retailer’s range of products to shoppers in high-footfall areas with limited space.
The opening marks Greggs’ third location at the London Bridge Station, which shows the continuing demand from shoppers at one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.
The new Greggs store is open seven days a week and has brought in 16 new jobs for the local area.
Tony Rowson, property director at Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of our fourth ‘Bitesize Greggs’ shop at London Bridge Station, one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.

“This opening marks our third Greggs shop at the station, demonstrating the continued demand for Greggs from commuters and travellers on the go. Our Bitesize format allows us to reach more customers from compact units in high-footfall locations while still offering a selection of our best-selling products.”
The Bitesize Greggs will also include a seating area to give shoppers the option to have their food while waiting before moving on with their journey.
According to the business, this London Bridge Station opening follows the successful launch of Bitesize Greggs locations last year at Sevenoaks Railway Station, Dartford Station and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
The new format expansion is being tested alongside traditional, larger shops, which supports the company’s wider growth plans and helps Greggs reach more customers in busy locations.
