Taittinger launches limited-edition FIFA World Cup bottle into UK supermarkets

News

Champagne Taittinger is launching a limited-edition FIFA World Cup 2026 bottle across major UK supermarkets as it returns as the tournament’s official champagne partner.

The champagne house has renewed its role as Official Champagne of the FIFA World Cup 2026, continuing a partnership with FIFA that has now run for more than a decade. The brand will also be Official Champagne of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027.

To mark the partnership, Taittinger has created a limited-edition version of its Brut Réserve, which will be available in Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose, as well as selected independent merchants and the on-trade.

The bottle has an RRP of £46.

The limited-edition design features a black label with holographic gradients representing the colours of the 2026 host countries: red for Canada, green for Mexico and blue for the United States.

Taittinger said the label’s texture and holographic finish were designed to reflect the movement and stitching of a football.

Taittinger president Vitalie Taittinger said: “We take great pride in representing Champagne, and France, at this monumental global event.

“Having worked with FIFA for the past thirteen years, this partnership is an integral part of our calendar, and a mark of recognition for the excellence and consistent quality of our Champagne.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the rich history and joy of Champagne to all the World Cup stadiums, celebrating the togetherness and global spirit that football and Champagne share.”

The FIFA partnership forms part of Taittinger’s wider global sponsorship activity, which includes cultural institutions and events such as BAFTA, UNESCO and the Montreux Jazz Festival.
