KFC rolls out Kwench drinks range across Scotland as sales more than double

News

KFC has rolled out its Kwench speciality drinks range across all 58 of its Scottish restaurants.

The range, which includes 13 drinks spanning milkshakes, iced coffees, matcha, boba refreshers and sparkling lemonades, is now available at restaurants across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Dumfries.

Prices start at £2.49, with options including the Cherry Boba Refresher, Iced Tiramisu Latte and Strawberry Shortcake Krunch Shake, alongside a new limited-edition Millionaire Shake.

The Scottish launch forms part of a £38m investment by KFC and its franchise partners to introduce dedicated Kwench drinks counters across the UK and Ireland, with each drink made to order in restaurants.

KFC said sales of Kwench drinks have more than doubled since the start of 2026, following the range’s initial trial in Manchester and its subsequent rollout across the wider UK market.

KFC said more than half of speciality drinks are now purchased outside mealtimes, presenting an opportunity to attract customers who might not otherwise visit for food.

The latest rollout also comes amid continued investment in KFC’s Scottish estate, with the business spending almost £6m on its restaurants in the country this year and opening three new sites.

KFC currently supports 2,585 jobs across Scotland and estimates its contribution to the Scottish economy at £60m.

KFC UK and Ireland strategy and innovation director Leo Sloley said: “Scotland already knows and loves us for our chicken, but we want to give people even more reasons to choose KFC, whatever the occasion.

“Kwench brings more choice to our menu and opens up new moments to enjoy KFC throughout the day.”

He added: “It’s a fresh new side of KFC – fun, full of flavour and unmistakably us. We’re excited to bring Kwench to Scotland and see people make it part of their everyday.”

The rollout builds on KFC’s wider UK expansion of Kwench, which had reached 500 restaurants by the end of June, as the chain continues to develop drinks as a standalone reason for customers to visit.
