Oato expands range with chocolate drink
Oato has expanded its range in Tesco and Waitrose stores with the launch of Oato Chocolate, which is set to launch across multiple locations nationwide this week.
This marks a significant milestone for the brand as it aims to increase its innovation by bringing a new flavour to the category and capitalise on the growing popularity of dairy alternatives among consumers.
Founder of Oato, Carl Hopwood, said: “We are so excited about this launch, in part because Oato Chocolate is truly delicious, but also of course because this sees us extend our shelf space, in not one but two major retailers.
“Our mission remains to bring delicious, fresh, British-made oat drinks to breakfast tables across the country!”

The Oato Chocolate drink can be used as a substitute for dairy in cereals or coffees.
The brand has an established retail presence and is available at the supermarkets Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and on Ocado.
This expansion comes after the brand launched a limited-edition matcha oat latte in July as part of its innovation pipeline.
The business operates one of the UK’s most popular oat drinks, which was founded in 2019 with the goal of bringing fresh oat drinks to the market.
The brand is a mission-led producer which focuses on sustainability, using 100 per cent British oats and maintaining a low carbon footprint at their solar-powered bottling site.
