Tesco has collaborated with Pampers to launched F&F Premature Sleepsuits, which are free for parents and carers of premature babies to collect from any Tesco Pharmacy.

The initiative follows the success of free Pampers Preemie Protection nappies for premature babies that continues following its launch last year.

According to the retailer, one in 13 babies in the UK are born prematurely, with many requiring clothing that is gentle on their sensitive skin.

“We know how overwhelming the early stages of parenting can sometimes be for families, particularly those whose babies arrive early and may need some extra support,” said a statement from the retailer.

“That’s why we’re proud to be expanding our support with free packs of F&F Premature Sleepsuits, specifically designed for babies born early, alongside free Pampers Preemie Protection nappies in three sizes at Tesco Pharmacy. We hope this extra little help will make a big difference to families navigating such a crucial stage in their lives.

The F&F Premature Sleepsuits are designed specifically for babies weighing 3 and 4lbs and new parents and carers can collect a complimentary three-pack from participating stores nationwide.

The design details include:

  • Soft rip tape fastenings used in place of poppers to protect delicate skin to accommodate medical lines and leads.
  • No internal seams or labels for comfort on delicate skin.
  • A lay‑flat design with sleepsuits that open and lay completely flat for easier dressing of premature babies.
  • Soft fabric that is 100% cotton, tested for 90-degree Celsius hospital-grade washing, and fully tumble‑dry safe, supporting use both in hospitals or at home.

Orsolya Szeman, senior buying manager for baby at Tesco said: “The sleepsuits should offer an extra layer of comfort and reassurance, providing meaningful support to families when it is needed most.”
