Symplicity set to launch at Waitrose
Fermented vegetable brand symplicity is launching across 196 Waitrose stores with a three-product range.
This marks the brand’s first expansion into retail, with three products – burgers, sausages and vegetable ‘Nduja – available at selected Waitrose stores and online from today (2 January).
Alan Wogan, co-founder and CEO of symplicity said: “We’ve seen strong growth in foodservice as chefs look for flavour-led vegetable ingredients that don’t rely on heavy processing.

“Launching with Waitrose allows us to scale that demand and make the same ingredients trusted by professional kitchens available to home cooks.”
The plant-based brand uses fermentation to create the products, aiming to reduce the heavily processed food in accordance with growing consumer demand for healthier products.
Symplicity was developed by chef Neil Rankin and co-founded with Alan and Mark Wogan and first launched in UK restaurants in 2021.
The expansion comes as symplicity reported a strong performance, delivering nearly 20% year-on-year UK sales growth, according to the company.
The business supplies over 1,000 restaurants and caterers across the country.
