M&S has opened the doors to its renovated food store on Chiswick High Road as part of its expansion plans in London.

The store is now 75% bigger, with a total of 15,200 sq ft of space after taking over three neighbouring units.

The expanded space now has an in-store bakery and coffee counter serving seasonal pastries and a selection of barista-made hot drinks.

Additionally, the retailer has built a new hot chicken counter with BBQ and butter-basted-flavour British rotisserie chicken and a sushi counter. The store also offers fresh fruit and produce, which includes seasonal market specials as well.

Dan Talmadge, store manager at M&S Chiswick, London, said: “We are so excited to reopen the store and welcome our customers back.

“The response from customers has been amazing already, and the team and I can’t wait to help deliver that trusted value, unbeatable quality and that touch of M&S magic we’re known for this Christmas.”

This opening is part of M&S’ wider £90m investment into upgrading and opening London stores, which was announced earlier this year.

The store was previously temporarily closed in June to allow for renovations to take place, and 50 new jobs were created in the process.
