Itsu Grocery has introduced Noodles & Broth, what it describes as “an affordable and healthy noodle choice”.

The new instant noodles are vegan, gluten free and contain no additives.

In a statement the food manufacture said the hand-folded rice noodles “come with a clean, authentic chilli miso broth inspired by Japanese flavours and crafted in partnership with chef Monica Galetti.

“Ready in just five minutes, the steamed, never fried, noodles pair perfectly with the rich, spicy broth.”

The seven-favour range includes chick-n ramen, chilli miso and katsu curry.

Galetti said: “Every element of the ‘Noodles & Broth’ product range has been thoughtfully considered, from the finest fruity red and sweet white miso paste sourced from Japan, to noodles that are steamed, not deep-fried, offering a healthier alternative to standard instant noodles.”

Last year, Itsu sushi was introduced into Tesco’s premium meal deal.

It came as Tesco revealed sushi had overtaken smoked salmon sandwiches as the UK’s fastest-growing lunchtime main.
