THG has raised its full-year profit expectations after stronger-than-expected growth in its nutrition division, driven by rising demand for its Myprotein sports nutrition brand.

The ecommerce group said it now expects adjusted EBITDA for 2026 to reach around £103m, ahead of previous guidance and market expectations.

The upgrade was primarily driven by a stronger-than-anticipated performance from THG Nutrition, with Myprotein benefiting from higher sales volumes and an easing in whey protein commodity prices.

THG Nutrition generated revenue of £152.4m in the third quarter, up 5.3 per cent year on year and 10.8 per cent excluding Asia. Myprotein branded unit volumes increased 36.2 per cent during the quarter.

The division has been a key growth driver for THG as it continues to expand Myprotein beyond its traditional direct-to-consumer model and into retail and other channels.

The business has also benefited from partnerships designed to broaden Myprotein’s reach, with previously announced deals with Nichols and Spoon expected to add further volume in the final quarter of the year.

The performance marks a turnaround for THG Nutrition, which had faced significant margin pressure from elevated whey costs. The company had previously absorbed some of the inflation to limit price rises and protect market share.

THG said the improvement in whey pricing, alongside stronger volumes, has helped accelerate the recovery in nutrition profitability.

The group’s wider performance has also strengthened, with improved cash generation supporting its financial position.

THG’s latest update comes after it reported group revenue growth of 7.2 per cent in the first half of 2026, while adjusted EBITDA more than doubled to £42.8m.

The company said the momentum in nutrition, alongside its beauty business, leaves it better positioned to deliver its upgraded profit expectations.

The strong performance highlights the growing importance of sports nutrition to THG’s wider consumer portfolio, with Myprotein increasingly operating as both an ecommerce and retail brand.
