Aldi has revealed that it is set to upgrade more than 20 of its UK stores before the end of 2025, as part of its latest push to improve the customer shopping experience.

Two of the discounter’s locations – Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria and Ebbw Vale in Wales – will undergo major extensions, while a further 21 sites will receive refreshed fixtures, updated layouts and improved sustainability features.

The supermarket chain said the works build on Aldi’s ongoing enhancement programme, which has already modernised more than 500 stores with features including brighter aisles, extra space for fresh and chilled lines, and updated equipment.
