Sainsbury’s and Poundland launch Christmas sandwiches for 2024
Sainsbury’s and Poundland have ramped up their food-to-go offerings this Christmas with new festive sandwiches and wraps for 2024.
Sainsbury’s is launching 10 products, including two new Taste the Difference options with a Festive Porchetta Sandwich for £4.50 and a Very Veggie Christmas Wrap which is filled with butternut squash, feta, pesto, mulled wine pickled cabbage, spinach and a herb stuffing, priced at £4.25.
These will be featured in the retailer’s £5 premium Meal Deal, alongside a Taste the Difference Christmas Cracker Club Sandwich.
Also new to the supermarket giant this year is a By Sainsbury’s Chicken & Stuffing Christmas Wrap for £3, which is available in the £3.75 Meal Deal.

Other options this year, which are also featured in the lunchtime offer, include By Sainsbury’s sandwiches in flavours such as Pigs Under Blankets, Brie & Cranberry, Turkey Feast, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese, Free From Turkey Feast, and a Plant Pioneers No Pigs Under Blankets, all of which are priced at £3.
Until 31 December, 10p per festive sandwich and wrap sold will be donated to Comic Relief to help fund initiatives to ensure communities have improved balanced, nutritional and sustainable food, with the commitment contributing to Sainsbury’s donation of over five million meals this winter.
Meanwhile, discounter Poundland is ramping up its £3 meal deal with a new turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich, which was curated at On A Roll Sandwich Company’s pantry by its in-house chefs.
This will launch alongside a vegetarian Cheese and Christmas Slaw sandwich, with both rolling out into stores this week at £2 each.
Poundland FMCG director Glyn Hughes said: “Others may have celebrities in their expensive Christmas TV ads, but at Poundland it’s the price that’s the star.
“That’s why we’re delighted to have worked with up-and-coming supplier On A Roll to create a festive sandwich that tastes as good as any on the market – and just for £2.”
It comes as last month, Tesco, Aldi, Co-op and Asda unveiled new Christmas sandwiches and wraps for 2024.
