Tom Parker Creamery has expanded its portfolio with the launch of Golden Milk, which contains turmeric, cinnamon, honey and black pepper.

The 500ml ready-to-drink is set to launch into Waitrose and Ocado from 21 October and joins the brand’s Vitamin-Enriched Whole Milk and Bedtime Milk.

The new product was developed for well-being and health-focused shoppers, according to the business.

Golden Milk was made with free-range British whole milk and was inspired by the turmeric-based Indian drink.

This move is part of the Somerset Creamery’s business strategy to create a distinctive position in the added-value and functional dairy drinks category.

The business aims to leverage the growing popularity of shoppers’ interest in natural ingredients, botanicals and food and drink which are related to health and wellbeing.

Rob Yates, CEO of Tom Parker Creamery, said: “Consumers are increasingly looking for more from everyday food and drink, but at the same time they want products made with natural ingredients they recognise. We think dairy is brilliantly placed to respond to both trends.

“It’s a simple, delicious drink that can be enjoyed chilled straight from the fridge or gently warmed, opening up another occasion for whole milk beyond the traditional breakfast table.”

Tom Parker Creamery is moving towards catering to consumers seeking whole foods, recognisable ingredients and minimally processed products.

This comes after a successful expansion of the brand’s range, which includes its Vitamin-Enriched Whole Milk and Bedtime Milk that launched last year.

This new product has the signature details of the wider Tom Parker Creamery range, which includes the brand’s glass bottle packaging with recyclable paper labels.
