Deliveroo has teamed up with Blue Light Card, the discount provider for the emergency services, NHS, teachers, the social care sector and armed forces, to give members free deliveries and savings.

The move makes Deliveroo the only delivery app to partner with Blue Light Card and will see holders offered free Deliveroo Plus Silver membership for the next 12 months, saving them over £40 a year.

As a Plus Silver member, Blue Light Card holders will be able to access free delivery when ordering from restaurants, grocers or retailers such as Nando’s, Wagamama, Pho, Giggling Squid, Kokoro, Gail’s Bakery, Waitrose, Wingstop, Sainsbury’s Morrisons, Co-op and Boots.

Members can also access exclusive Plus-only offers tailored to their local area all year round and will join the rapid delivery firm’s rewards programme, which means if they make three orders at the same place within 30 days, they’ll get £8 off their 4th order.
