Alpro has expanded its plant-based protein range with a series of innovations amid a new partnership with football legend Peter Crouch.

The latest additions to the protein range include two new chilled plant-based protein drinks, Alpro Plant Protein Chocolate Flavour Drink (750ml) and Plant Protein Original Drink (750ml).

The vegan brand has also launched two new yoghurt alternatives, Alpro Plant Protein Mixed Berries alternative to yoghurt (200g) and Plant Protein Tropical Fruit alternative to yoghurt (200g).

The innovations will run alongside a new campaign starring Peter Crouch to shine a spotlight on the plant-based brand’s role in consumers’ morning routines.

The campaign sees Crouch challenged to experience celebrity-inspired morning routines, such as waking up at 2:30am, multiple gym sessions and ice baths, to see if they are sustainable on an everyday basis.

Alpro UK head of marketing Zoe Gardner said: “We believe everyone deserves to start the day with a healthy, tasty and nutritious breakfast. Our research found that a staggering 95% of the nation believes protein is an important addition to their diets, however we have seen a lack of plant protein options at breakfast time.

“The expansion of our plant protein range with tasty protein drinks and alternatives to yoghurts aims to make protein more accessible to consumers and provide new ways to enjoy fuss-free and healthy breakfast products for any morning routine – no matter what it looks like.”

Alpro’s new drink and yoghurt alternative products are available in Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
