Asda has made a last-minute festive discounts, lowering the price of some of its vegetables to 15p in the run-up to Christmas.
Shoppers heading to the supermarket giant for Christmas dinner essentials such as 1kg carrots, usually 60p, 500g sprouts, usually £1, 360g broccoli, usually 75p, and 500g parsnips, usually 65p, for 15p.

Asda chief commercial officer Kris Comerford said: “Throughout the year we have been focussed on improving the quality of our products while continuing to keep prices in check for customers.”
“This is especially important at Christmas when family budgets are under extra pressure and we are confident that our customers will be able to treat themselves to the best quality festive food and drink without having to break the bank when they shop at Asda.”
The grocery retailer’s latest price promotion follows it urging shoppers to utilise vouchers from their Christmas Saver Cashpot on Asda Rewards, before the current scheme ends next week.
Earlier this week, the supermarket giant revealed it was stocking up its new petrol convenience stores with last-minute Christmas essentials in anticipation of the busy festive weekend.
