Sainsbury’s extends Nectar Prices scheme with 50% off all Heinz products

Sainsbury’s is extending its Nectar Prices scheme for a limited time to cut the price of 150 Heinz branded products.

Lasting from Friday 1-3 September, the offer includes up to 50% off products such as Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Seriously Good Mayonnaise, Big Soup, Baked Beanz, as well as canned soups, pasta sauces and other condiments.

The offer follows the completion of the Nectar Prices roll-out last month, which gave customers access to savings on over 3,500 products.

Since its launch at the supermarket chain, customers have saved over £244m through Nectar Prices, with customers saving on average £3.15 every time they shop.

Sainsbury’s previously launched lower Nectar Prices across Heinz ranges back in April, which also included a wide range of Britain’s other favourite brands.

Director of grocery for Sainsbury’s Rachel Clark said: “At Sainsbury’s, we’re always looking for new ways to provide great value to our customers.

“This market leading, first-of-its-kind Nectar promotion on all Heinz branded products does just that. Allowing customers to add their favourite household staples to their shopping baskets at a brilliant price.”

President of Kraft Heinz Northern Europe Jojo Lins De Noronha commented: “We’ve teamed up with Sainsbury’s to offer shoppers even greater value for money on family favourites like Heinz Baked Beanz and Heinz Tomato Ketchup.

“With 50% off all weekend, Nectar-card holders can enjoy the great taste of Heinz with considerable savings at the checkout.”

Earlier this year, Heinz raised its prices for the second time following its public dispute with Tesco over passing increased production costs onto customers, despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
