Meatless Farm products have returned to supermarket shelves following a takeover by plant-based brand VFC.
The vegan brand’s meat alternative mince, chicken breast and quarter pounder burgers are once again available at Asda alongside its beef, red wine and porcini mushroom girasole, so-duja ravioli and new pork and apple sausage, The Grocer reported.
Meatless Farm’s products are expected to roll out in other retailers over the next few months, with all products to be made by its previous manufacturing partners.

Meatless Farm and VFC CEO, Dave Sparrow, told the publication that getting the brand’s products back on shelves was its “number one priority,” adding, “we have been working tirelessly with our partners and customers to make this happen.”
This comes as the brand made the majority of its workforce redundant in June, and entered administration following a failed attempt to find new investment.
It posted almost £50m in operating losses in the past three years, while sales fell to £11.2m in 2022 from £12.5m a year before.
However, VFC – or Vegan Fried Chick*n – signed a deal to save the company, which it described as a “golden opportunity” to merge the businesses and “spark innovation in the plant-based food category”.
