The Big 4 grocer’s own-brand lines including Taste the Difference and by Sainsbury’s will also be seeing some price reductions, with carrot cake, folded flatbreads and tortilla wraps included in the money-saving initiative.

In May, Sainsbury’s cut the price of over 40 own-brand dairy products, with shoppers able to save as much as 60% on items including cheese, yoghurt and cream.

It has also reduced the price of its own-brand bread and butter as commodity prices for wheat and butter have started to fall.
