Smint named UK’s number one sugar free mint brand
Perfetti Van Melle mint brand, Smint has been named as the number one sugar free mint brand in the UK, as sales soar.
According to the confectionary manufacturer, Smint is growing at three times the rate of the cateogry and occupies the dominant share, 35% of the sugar free mint market.
Smint, which currently has a value of £9.5 million, also has a growth rate up 44% in the last four weeks.

The range, which features flavours including Peppermint, Spearmint, Sweet Mint and Strawberry can be purchased in tin, bottle and dispenser formats and are avaulable at all retail and wholesale outlets.
Last year, the Smint portfolio saw a refresh with the new Smint Defensive which launched in response to the growing demand for immune enhancing products.
The sugar free peppermint lozenges contain vitamin C, B6 and zinc to help support the immune system and reduce tiredness.

Perfetti Van Melle holds the title as the UK’s largest supplier of sugar-free sweets and is known for brands including Mentos, Fruittella and Chupa Chups.
Last year, Mentos reached a trading milestone, having hit £100m in UK sales and in January, it was awarded Product of the Year 2023 for Mentos Fanta.
