Premier Foods has added new Ambrosia and Angel Delight variants to it’s line-up of exclusive desserts.
The new ambient pots from dairy company Ambrosia include Belgian chocolate and salted caramel sauce, and Belgian chocolate and mint fondant sauce, rolling out in Tesco, Asda and Morrisons from today (RSP £1.59/2x).
They are joined on shelves at Tesco by a new Angel Delight chocolate mint variant (RSP: 90p/4x).

British food manufacturer Premier Foods said the three new products were fully compliant with new HFSS rules and would “help meet consumer demand for healthier, convenient dessert snack options.”
The launch comes a year after Premier took Ambrosia out of its dessert ranges, and into breakfast instead. Around the same time, Angel Delight launched new frozen strawberry and butterscotch ice creams in Iceland.
“The dessert offer looks to help grow the ambient category by appealing to both new and current shoppers who are looking for different and on-trend chocolate flavour options when snacking,” brand director for desserts at Premier Foods, Dan Jalalpour said.
He added: “The ambient treats don’t require refrigeration, meaning they are fresher for longer and help to reduce waste.”
The news comes as Premier Foods, the parent company of Mr Kipling and Oxo, is to axe 300 jobs due to a proposed closure of its Knighton manufacturing site.
