Vegan brand One Planet Pizza is set to launch its ‘Spicy Peppernomi’ pizza in 400 of Asda’s stores.
Currently available online and in-stores at RRP £3.75, the product rolled out following a successful trial in the Big 4 grocer’s first incubator programme.
Plant-based, the ‘Peppernomi’ topping is made from jackfruit, while the pizza also contains vegan cheese.

“Post-pandemic, consumers are now pushing brands further and demanding products that are both healthier and more sustainable, without compromising on taste and price,” One Planet Pizza co-founder, Mike Hill told Vegan Food & Living.
“That’s the kind of challenges we like at One Planet Pizza; we think our pizza deliver on all of these.
“It looks like Asda believes this too and we can’t wait for their customers to try the future of pizza across the UK.”
This comes as a raft of retailers and brands have launched new products and expanded their plant-based offerings in time for the annual Veganuary challenge.
Last week, Tesco added five new vegan products to its Plant Chef frozen food range, while Heinz launched vegan alternatives to some of its classic tinned recipes.
Deliveroo is also offering its biggest ever range of plant-based food with over 20,800 vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants available across the UK.

I’ve had these pizzas and they’re delicious! They’re not too spicy but have a good kick to the pepperoni and cheese. They’re better for the planet too so what’s not to love?
