Food delivery company Gopuff has partnered with logistics company Wincanton to launch a London-based distribution centre.
The site in Greenford will be operated by Wincanton and used as a hub for Gopuff’s London dark stores.
Contributing to 3.2% growth in revenue for Wincanton’s grocer and consumer online fulfilment business, it is also understood that the move will benefit Gopuff in allowing it to accept bigger volumes directly from its suppliers.

“Our strategic partnership with Wincanton has already had significant positive commercial impact in the short time we’ve been working together,” Gopuff senior vice president of international markets, Bryan Batista told The Grocer.
“The scale of their distribution centres allows us to maintain consistent stock levels, helping us offer an unmatched range of products and top-quality service to customers across the UK.
“This enhancement in our supply chain also enables us to deliver more competitive prices for our customers, and continue engaging directly with local brands.”
This comes following the launch of Gopuff’s GoStock Equity Programme in September which offers employees the chance to share ownership in the business.
In an internal memo seen by Grocery Gazette, 1,400 employees and workers will receive equity and an ownership stake of the company.
