Tesco has strengthened its partnership with tech logistics company, Stuart in a bid to shorten the delivery times of its rapid delivery service Whoosh.
Following the collaboration’s work to refine delivery times, over 90% of online orders made through the Big 4 grocer‘s service have been delivered in less than 30 minutes and 99% within its one hour promise time.
As a result, repeat orders have risen in Bristol and the retention rate for the area’s Whoosh shoppers has increased from 50% to 72%.
“We’re really pleased to be partnering with Tesco at a time when dynamic delivery is integral to meeting the needs of businesses and consumers,” Stuart UK general manager, Brendan Hamill said.
“The collaboration sees Stuart technology power rapid, last mile deliveries from Tesco stores throughout the UK, and we’re looking forward to further strengthening our partnership with the retailer in the future.”
Earlier this year, Tesco unveiled its plans to expand Whoosh to 600 of its stores across the UK. As of April, this number stood at 50 and it said it looked to reach 200 by the end of this year.
Offering its customers over 1,700 products from everyday essentials to meals, its slots run daily from 7am to 10pm.
