George at Asda partners with Liz Pichon for BBC Children in Need

Asda’s clothing label George has announced a collaboration with BBC Children in Need with the aims of raising money for charity.

To celebrate the partnership, author and illustrator Liz Pichon, known for her best-selling Tom Gates book series, will be designing George’s official Children in Need T-shirt for this year.

The unisex T-shirt from the big 4 retailer’s label features BBC Children in Need’s Pudsey character in Pichon’s signature doodle style. It is available to purchase in both child and adult sizes for £5 and £9, respectively.

Additionally, all profits made from the collaboration will be going to BBC Children in Need, as it continues its mission to support lower-income families and vulnerable groups.

“We are absolutely delighted to have collaborated with the talented children’s author and illustrator, Liz Pichon, on our Official T-Shirt with George & Asda this year,” director of commerical at BBC Children in Need Claire Hoyle said.

She added: “We know that this t-shirt will raise vital funds for children and young people across the UK when they need it most, but we also hope that it encourages people to get doodling and enjoy the positive benefits of doodling for themselves too.”

Vicki Radford, buying manager at George, said that it’s been an “incredible opportunity” working with the children’s author and to be a part of Pichon’s “vision providing accessibility, education and creativity through the power of doodling.”
