Kerrygold launches biggest-ever UK campaign to drive butter and cream cheese sales
Kerrygold is rolling out its largest-ever UK marketing campaign to drive further growth across its butter, spreads and newly launched cream cheese range.
The ‘Make It Gold with Kerrygold’ campaign will run from mid-August until October across digital AV, social media, retail and experiential channels.
Created with BBDO, the campaign will promote the wider Kerrygold masterbrand and focus on how its products can elevate simple everyday meals.
The ads will be voiced by Irish actor Nicola Coughlan, best known for her roles in Derry Girls and Bridgerton, and will spotlight Kerrygold’s Irish grass-fed dairy credentials, provenance and premium positioning.
The push comes as Kerrygold continues to expand beyond its core butter range, having recently launched Kerrygold Cream Cheese in the UK.
As part of the campaign, the brand will take over Good Food across its website and magazine, alongside sponsoring its Table for Four podcast.
Kerrygold will also run experiential activity fronted by brand ambassador and chef Lee Tiernan, owner of London restaurant Black Axe Mangal.
The dairy brand is also sponsoring Counter Talk’s ‘Bread & Butter Off’ challenge, featuring chefs and creators from the independent hospitality sector.
In-store shopper marketing and promotional activity will support the wider campaign, with a focus on converting increased awareness into purchases.
Kerrygold UK senior brand manager Lucy Hay said: “Our ‘Make it Gold with Kerrygold’ campaign celebrates what makes Kerrygold’s Irish grass-fed dairy products truly special – namely our commitment to premium quality, our distinct Irish provenance and, above all, the unmistakable great taste of Kerrygold.
“At its heart, the campaign serves as a reminder that some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around the table – and that with the very best ingredients, even the simplest meals can feel a little more special.”
Hay added that the campaign represented Kerrygold’s “largest ever above and below the line support” in the UK and came amid strong growth in sales, distribution and new product development.
The activity will support Kerrygold’s position as the UK’s number one block butter brand while helping build awareness of its growing portfolio across the wider dairy category.
