Aldi’s Kevin the Carrott, the retailer’s Christmas advert mascot, is being brought to life through new Jelly Sweets launching in stores later month.
The character has been the star of the Aldi Christmas advert in previous years, and recently made an appearance to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in June.
Arriving on the discounter’s shelves in time for Halloween on October 20th, Kevin The Carrott Jelly Sweets will come in either sweet or sour flavours and sell for an RRP of 89p.
However, the sweets are not carrot flavoured – despite the name. Instead, they are orange flavoured, made with 15% fruit, and vegan friendly.
It remains unknown whether Kevin will appear in Aldi’s Christmas advert this year. However, Aldi commented: “We know you’re excited about getting a first look at Kevin for 2022 but we’ve not seen him or his family since Christmas 2021. If he gets in touch, we’ll let you know.”
