Rapid grocery delivery service Gopuff has appointed former Amazon veteran, Patrick Bigatel as its vice president of grocery.
Prior to his new role, which he began this month, Bigatel worked as a general manager for Amazon across Amazon heavy-bulky, home services and local selling.
With the technology company for 14 years, Bigatel was also general manager and director for outdoor sporting goods and the pet production division, along with a variety of other management roles.
Most recently he worked as vice president of new business development for mobile energy delivery company, Booster.
Speaking of his new role in a Linkedin post yesterday, 6 September, Bigatel said: “I am excited to announce that I have joined Gopuff as vice president of grocery.
“Throughout my career, I have worked on and studied transformative retail disruptions that benefit customers, and GoPuff embodies this retail disruptor mentality.
“The focus on customer-first innovations and technologies, underpinned by a unique vertically integrated supply chain, has benefits extending throughout the company down to the experience our customers receive with every order.”
Bigatel’s appointment follows Gopuff’s announcement earlier this year that Maria Renz, who is also a former Amazon veteran, would be joining the company as senior vice president of its North American business, overseeing its strategy and executive in the US.
