Heinz Salad Queen: Sauces get royal Jubilee makeover

Heinz Salad Cream and HP Sauce are receiving royal makeovers to mark the Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee which is being celebrated this year with an additional bank holiday on Friday 3 June.

The celebratory sauces will begin making appearances on supermarket shelves from this week, in readiness for June’s four-day bank holiday weekend.

“This is an extraordinary moment for the Queen and the great British public, and we want to celebrate this with two of our most well-loved and historic sauces,” said Heinz senior brand manager Anke von Hanstein.

“Releasing limited-edition bottles in time for the Jubilee felt like the perfect fit.”

The Jubilee is proving to be a key occasion for the grocery sector, with both Waitrose and M&S being named among a plethora of high-profile British brands which are lending their support to the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, taking place on 5 June 2022.

The retailers have come together with a number of other British brands and leading international companies – including Moët & Chandon, Fortnum & Mason and Cadbury – to celebrate The Queen’s 70-year reign.

Elsewhere, Iceland has partnered with official community charity partner The Big Lunch for the Platinum Jubilee street parties and celebrations which are expected to be held across the country.
